Welcome to ‘Blogger Speaks‘!
I’m thrilled to kick off our first interview with Sweety Joshi, the talented blogger and creative mind behind HerCreativeBlog.
We’ll be delving into her journey as a blogger and her secrets to success.
So sit back, relax, and let’s get started!
Subarna: Hi Sweety, it’s great to have you here. Can you tell us a little about yourself and how you got into blogging? What motivated you to start and what has your journey been like so far?
Sweety: Hello! Thank you for having me. I’m Sweety Joshi, the CEO, designer, and content creator behind hercreativeblog.com.
I switched to blogging from a typical government job preparation to enjoy the freedom of choosing my projects and experiencing growth without restrictions.
I started blogging in 2020 and have learned a lot from my first failed blog and my successful second blog, thatgratefulsoul.com. [Recently Sold it for $10,000]
Growing up in a small village, I faced many challenges and a lack of support when I decided to pursue blogging as a career. But I believed in myself and worked hard to grow my blog and business, even when faced with creator’s block and doubts.
And today, I’m financially independent and can afford anything I want just from my blogging income. I created hercreativeblog.com to be a mentor and guide for others who are interested in starting their own blogging business.
Subarna: How do you keep your content fresh and relevant to your readers? What strategies do you use to stay ahead of the curve in your niche?
Sweety: For me, staying on top of industry trends and keeping my content fresh is all about continuous learning and research. I spend a lot of time reading articles, watching videos, and listening to podcasts related to my niche to stay up-to-date on the latest news and insights.
I make sure to stay connected with my audience by engaging with them through social media and email newsletters. I often ask for feedback and suggestions on what they would like to see on my blog, and I take their input into consideration when creating new content.
I also try to approach topics from a unique perspective and share my own personal experiences and insights. This helps to make my content more relatable and valuable to my readers.
I’m always experimenting with new formats and mediums, such as video and audio content, to keep things fresh and engaging. By staying curious and open-minded, I’m able to adapt and evolve my content to stay ahead of the curve in my niche.
Subarna: Can you share some of your most successful blog posts and what made them so popular?
Sweety: Sure, here are some of them:-

For me it’s all about the value we put in the post. The right information and engaging content get lots of shares. I have promoted these posts on Pinterest and Twitter to get discovered. These are list posts and Guideposts that are most popular among the readers.
Subarna: How do you monetize your blog? Do you rely solely on ads or do you have other income streams as well?
Sweety: I started from Ad networks and then gradually got more than 4 income streams which are- Sponsored Posts, Guest Posts, Banner Advertising, and Affiliate Marketing.
Subarna: What role do you think social media plays in the success of a blogger? How do you leverage social media to grow your blog and engage with your audience?
Sweety: Social media plays a crucial role in the success of a blogger. It provides a platform for us to reach a wider audience, promote our content, and engage with our readers.
Personally, I use social media to promote my blog posts, share behind-the-scenes glimpses of my life, and connect with my audience on a more personal level.
The best platform for promoting your Blog is Pinterest. If you want lots of free traffic, Start pinning on Pinterest Right Away!
I have found that Instagram is particularly effective for engagement, as it allows me to share visually appealing content and interact with my followers through comments and direct messages.
Twitter, on the other hand, is great for sharing quick thoughts and promoting my blog posts.
Subarna: You recently won the WordPress Creators Awards 2021 for India. Can you tell us how you felt when you found out and what this recognition means to you?
Sweety: I applied to this content by Fluke. I did not know that there is something like awards for bloggers. And after winning that award I was on cloud nine. I told my parents, my best friend, and everyone about this award. I never thought my small website will get this much recognition. I am simply grateful for this.
Subarna: What’s your favorite part about blogging, and why?
Sweety: Creating!
I love content creation. I enjoy designing my websites, Creating social media posts, Pinterest pins, and Videos. I feel Creative and that is the most favorite part.
Subarna: How do you deal with writer’s block, and what do you do to get inspired again?
Sweety: As a blogger, writer’s block is something that I have faced many times. When I feel stuck, I usually take a break and try to focus on something else.
I find that getting outside, going for a walk, or doing some exercise can really help to clear my head and get my creative juices flowing again.
I also like to read other blogs, watch videos or listen to podcasts in my niche. This helps me to stay inspired and come up with new ideas for my own content.
Another strategy that I use is to keep a running list of blog post ideas. Whenever I come across a new idea or inspiration, I write it down in my notebook or phone. This way, when I hit writer’s block, I have a list of ideas to refer to and can start writing on a topic that I am excited about.
I believe that writer’s block is a natural part of the creative process. It’s important to be patient and kind to yourself and to remember that inspiration will come again.
Subarna: What’s the most unusual or unexpected thing you’ve learned about yourself through your blogging journey?
Sweety: The most unexpected thing I learned about myself through my blogging journey is that I am capable of inspiring and helping others. When I started blogging, I had no idea that people would actually read my content and find it helpful.
As I began to receive positive feedback and comments from my readers, I realized that my words could have a real impact on people’s lives. This was a humbling experience and it made me realize the power of blogging as a tool for connecting with others and making a difference in their lives.
Subarna: Can you tell us about a time when you received criticism or negative feedback, and how you dealt with it?
Sweety: To be honest, I have received criticism just from my relatives. They were not accepting my profession. But I knew that this was something new for them and It is hard to accept it so I never overthink it. It is fine when there is no one to appreciate you. You have to be your supporter.
If we talk about negative feedback I never experienced it. I have created a pretty positive community.
Subarna: What’s your favorite blog post that you’ve written, and why?
Sweety: Every piece of content I write becomes my favorite. I have recently made a blog post with lots of value and information,(https://www.hercreativeblog.com/20-small-business-ideas-for-teens/).
Subarna: If you could collaborate with any blogger, writer, or influencer (dead or alive), who would it be and why?
Sweety: That’s a tough question! I like Adam Enfroy’s content. I often watch his videos(@AdamEnfroy) which are really helpful and actionable.
If we talk about influencers I would like to go on the Satish K Videos as I watch this channel regularly and He is doing a great job by inspiring the young generation.
Subarna: How do you balance your personal and professional life as a blogger, and what do you do to prevent burnout?
Sweety: As a blogger, balancing personal and professional life can be challenging. I try to maintain a schedule that allows me to dedicate time to my work while also making time for my personal life.
One of the things that I do to prevent burnout is to take breaks and prioritize self-care. I try to take time for myself every day, even if it’s just a few minutes to listen to my favorite songs and dance in front of my mirror. I also make sure to take weekends off and spend time with my family and friends.
Another thing that helps me is setting boundaries. I have set specific work hours and try not to work outside of those hours unless it’s absolutely necessary. I also try to disconnect from work-related activities during my personal time, such as not checking my email or social media.
Subarna: What advice would you give to someone who is just starting out in the world of blogging? What are some key things they should keep in mind to succeed?
Sweety: My advice to someone who is just starting in the world of blogging is to be consistent, persistent, and patient. Blogging is not a get-rich-quick scheme, it takes time and effort to build an audience and establish yourself as a credible voice in your niche.
Here are some key things to keep in mind to succeed:
- Find your niche: Choose a specific topic that you are passionate about and knowledgeable about. This will help you to stand out and build a loyal audience.
- Create high-quality content: Your content should be well-researched, informative, and engaging. Use visuals, such as images and videos, to make your content more appealing. (https://www.blogginghelps.com/blogging-principles/#write-with-a-purpose)
- Be consistent: Post on a regular schedule so that your audience knows when to expect new content from you. Consistency helps to build trust and credibility with your readers. (https://www.blogginghelps.com/blogging-principles/#be-consistent-in-your-publishing-schedule)
- Engage with your audience: Respond to comments, messages, and emails from your readers. This helps to build a community around your blog and establishes you as an authority in your niche. (https://www.blogginghelps.com/blogging-principles/#work-to-build-relationships-with-other-bloggers)
- Network with other bloggers: Connect with other bloggers in your niche, guest post on their blogs, and participate in online communities. This can help to grow your audience and establish relationships with other bloggers. (https://www.blogginghelps.com/blogging-principles/#collaborate-with-other-bloggers)
- Be patient: Building a successful blog takes time and effort. Don’t get discouraged if you don’t see immediate results. Stay committed and keep working at it, and success will come.
Remember, blogging is a journey, not a destination. Enjoy the process, learn from your mistakes, and celebrate your successes along the way.
Subarna: How do you see the blogging landscape evolving in the next few years? What trends do you think will shape the industry and how do you plan to adapt to them?
Sweety: The blogging industry is constantly evolving and adapting to changes in technology, user behavior, and market trends. In the next few years, we can expect to see continued growth in the number of bloggers and the amount of content being produced.
One trend that is likely to continue is the increasing importance of video content. More and more bloggers are incorporating video into their content strategy, and platforms like YouTube and TikTok are becoming increasingly popular for bloggers to reach their audience.
Another trend is the growing importance of authenticity and transparency. Readers are increasingly looking for bloggers who are genuine and honest, and who are willing to share their personal experiences and perspectives.

Good job here Sweety and Subarna. Excellent advice for dissolving writer’s block. Pull back, take a break and the ideas will flow eventually. One of the keys is to actually relax the mind for the words to flow from fingers to laptop to WordPress backoffice. Do that and you are golden. Keep on inspiring my friends.

Thank you Ryan! I wish you the best ????????
